People/ Pyro Turbo SIDE A REC ● updated after Session 7
Pyro Turbo
The Grove-appointed replacement for Tarine in the Go Go Gladiator brand. Where Tarine was the first Go Go Gladiator — beloved, real — Pyro Turbo is the knock-off: a lesser athlete and a lesser celebrity who stepped into the spotlight when Tarine turned against the Grove.
She and Tarine know each other — Tarine has “spent plenty of time with Pyro Turbo” — and there is a long-standing rivalry. Or possibly something more complicated.
Appearance & Voice
- Wears a onesie leotard (per S5 references) — the cheap version of Tarine’s gear
- Voice: WWE-wrestling theatrical when public-facing; cracks when stressed
- Calls Tarine “babe” and “Corrine” (mispronunciation, possibly deliberate)
What We Know
From Session 7 (the phone call):
- Pyro called Tarine at a roadside motel
- Voice was performative, scripted, and rehearsed — but cracking around the edges
- Tried to lure Tarine back to Wendell’s Landing with promises of going to Crescent Bay for the weekend, smoothies, hanging out
- When Tarine asked her to say “buttered popcorn” if it was the Grove forcing this, Pyro said: “I’m not going to do that. Nice.” — a flat refusal
- Pyro pivoted at the end of the call: “Whatever you’re running from, keep running. You were always the better one. I’ll see you at Crescent Bay. We’ll have buttered popcorn… or maybe we won’t. I don’t know but come on please come back.”
- Roll: Instinct 19 with Fear — Tarine confirmed Pyro is genuinely scared, not acting.
Status
- Active — somewhere in a hotel/motel
- Coerced by the Grove to deliver the lure
- Tried to warn Tarine in the only way she could, then maintained cover
- Possible ally if she can be extracted from the Grove’s leverage
Open Questions
- What does the Grove have on Pyro to force this?
- Is Crescent Bay a trap? (We suspect yes.)
- Can we save her?
